About The Bird

I’m Andrea – graphic designer, blogger, DIYer, wine-drinker, wife and mom. My blog is about ‘all sorts of stuff’ – mostly things that I find interesting, useful or inspiring. I enjoy discovering new places, foods, products and ideas and you’ll often catch me snapping away on my iPhone or with my awesome Nikon DSLR. Totes a Mac.

I studied Journalism at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, and thereafter moved to the UK to begin my career as Graphic Designer (journ schmourn!)

In London I met my amazing husband and in May 2012, our beautiful baby girl, Addison, was born. After a long time of ‘um-ing and ah-ing’ about where we’d like to settle, we decided that home was where our hearts were, and we made the big move back to the Motherland! I love re-discovering all things SA and sharing my findings.

Julia (aka ‘Baba’) made her appearance on the 25th of September 2013, just a year after we’d settled back into life in the KZN Midlands. She is practically an angel ♥

Clever Bird Banter is a personal blog written and edited by me.

Occasionally I’ll publish ‘Sponsored Posts’. These posts are paid for by an advertiser and are akin to the advertorials that often appear in magazines, on TV, or on the radio.

Sponsored posts allow me to pay for the time and costs involved in keeping Clever Bird Banter up and running.

I will always be completely transparent and let you know every time I publish one. What is written within a sponsored post is my opinion and/or often related to my own personal experiences – I only choose to write for brands / sponsors with whom I naturally resonate, regardless of pay.
