We Need To Talk About Kevin is the film adaptation of Lionel Shriver’s haunting novel of the same name – it tells the story of a mother, Eva (Tilda Swinton), and her son Kevin (Ezra Miller), who commits an unspeakable crime. It follows their relationship through from the Kevin’s birth until his 18th birthday – and all that happens between.
Excellent acting, gripping plot, brilliantly filmed and thought provoking – was Kevin born bad or did Eva make him that way?
I haven’t actually read the book myself but I hear there are a few differences between how the story is relayed, compared to how it is portrayed through the movie. Watch if you are interested in the psychology of crime, and in stories like the Columbine School Killings etc – really interesting! Loved it!
